What is TrendGal?
TrendGal is an innovative new way to find great-looking clothes online and compare what you like with others. TrendGal also makes it possible to keep up on what others are wearing and become a trendsetter for your age group and the city where you live.
How does TrendGal work?
TrendGal shows you online items by category or by tag. TrendGal members (a.k.a “Gals”) rank what they see on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and can add optional comments. The site then compiles all the results and feedback to figure out member trends (the most-popular clothes and accessories) per city and per age group. Gals can watch the fashion picks of the other Gals on the site. All clothing and accessories posted on TrendGal can be purchased through online virtual boutiques.

How do I browse the items?
Click the Items tab to view the items by category (tops, pants, etc.) or by tag. Tags make it easy to refine your search by adding specific criteria such as color, brand and fabric. Items will appear sorted by their date of appearance on TrendGal, with the most recent additions appearing first.
Where do the items on TrendGal come from?
The clothing and accessories featured on TrendGal are selected from a wide range of online boutiques, with something to appeal to almost every lifestyle, body type, personality and budget.
Can I purchase the pieces showcased on TrendGal?
Yes! Although TrendGal itself has no items for sale, everything featured on the site can be purchased online. Clicking on an item will take you to the third-party cyber boutique where it is available.
How long are items featured on TrendGal?
Items are posted for a period of three months.
How often are new items added?
Dozens of the latest fashion items are added every day.

What are trends and how do you figure out what they are?
Trends symbolize the most popular fashion picks, as chosen by the TrendGal members of a given age group or living in a particular North American city. To identify these trends as they emerge, TrendGal takes the ranking of each item by each Gal, then does a lot of number crunching according to age and city of residence.
Most-Watched Gals and Watchlists
Who are the Most-Watched Gals?
Most-Watched Gals are the TrendGal members whose fashion sense is the most keenly followed by others. You might say that they are self-styled fashionistas!
How do I track someone else’s TrendGal picks?
When you visit another Gal’s profile, you’ll see a button “Watch This Gal”. Click it, and all their fashion favorites will be displayed in your watchlist so you don’t miss a single one!
My Account — Profile
Why should I create a profile?
Creating a profile gives you the possibility to shape emerging trends by ranking items and commenting on them. Your profile automatically saves your top picks; it is a powerful tracking tool that gives you a heads-up on what others are checking out on TrendGal.
How do I customize my profile?
When you are logged in, click the Account tab to modify your profile. You can do things like change the page background and the color scheme to make it feel like a place of your own.
How many items can I store in my account?
Faves: 1000
Friends: 500
Watchlist: 100
What are “faves” and how do they work?
Every time you give a five-star rating to an item, it is automatically added to your favorites (your “faves”). You can also keep tabs on other items by adding them to your bookmarks manually.
How do I remove my account?
Your profile contains a tab called Delete Account for this purpose.
Groups
What are groups?
Groups are created by Gals who wish to make a collaborative expression of style by putting together a handpicked collection that follows a specific theme. An example might be a “vintage” group, to which Gals can add items with vintage styling or character.
